DESCRIPTION:
North Woodstock, Connecticut, is located
in New England. The quiet, rolling farmland is home to many ghostly activities.
IN THE BEGINNING:
An old farm house was located on Brickyard
Road. This sixteen room house was built in pre-Revolutionary times by
the Lyons family. The Lyons Tavern, located here, was a popular watering
hole.
There was a tragedy involving a previous
owner. His fourteen-year-old daughter, Laura, who was staying home due
to illness, disappeared and was never seen or heard from again.
GHOSTLY SIGHTINGS AND OCCURRENCES:
A previous owner, Mrs. Viner, had
her own spirit encounters. Phantom footsteps were heard upstairs. Then,
two loud thumps were heard, as though several heavy objects hat hit the
floor. This pattern of footsteps, followed by two thumbs, occurred regularly
enough to be part of the family routine.
Mrs. Viner and her family were not
the only ones to have spirit encounters. Overnight guests always complained
about the constant walking in the upstairs corridor.
WHERE IT'S LOCATED:
North Woodstock, Connecticut, is beautiful

The house on Brickyard Road is a private
