Elkhorn Ghost Town - Can be found northeast of Butte, near Boulder.

Elkhorn came into being during 1870 gold rush, becoming a town full of stores, saloons and churches. What lengthened the life of the town was the discovery of quartz lodes. Hard rock mining kept the money coming for awhile.
